Botulinum toxin type A, better known as Botox®, is a treatment used to eliminate wrinkles that cause facial expressions. Botulinum toxin paralyzes the muscles responsible for these wrinkles and allows natural facial expressions if used in the right way.
There are several brands of toxins, such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®. It is generally applied to the upper third of the face, specifically the forehead, the frown and around the eyes.

A fresh appearance of the face is obtained without the presence of wrinkles, respecting normal facial expressions.
The application is made in the office, and has an effect of between 5 and 6 months. It is not recommended to apply it again before 6 months.
