Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is the overdevelopment of breast tissue in men. Very common disease since it affects up to 35% of the population  male. There are different causes that can cause it from hormonal stimuli to diseases, tumors, medications, alcohol, drugs and in some cases a specific cause is not found.

It is important to carry out a medical evaluation to rule out a cause and define whether the treatment is with drugs or with surgery.

How do we do it?

Surgery depends on the case, and can be treated with liposuction only and / or resection of the glandular tissue through a small periareolar wound in order to reduce the size of the breast and define the thoracic contour.

What type of anesthesia do we use?

It is performed under sedation and local anesthesia

Days of Internment?

The surgery is done on an outpatient basis.

Recovery time?

The approximate time to return to your daily activities is 1 week. To exercise you should wait 4 to 6 weeks. It is recommended to use a compression garment or girdle for the first 3 weeks.
